Soul King Presents "The Diaspora"

Cold as Ice

Soul King of the Barbershop MCz and Tha Likwit Crew recently dropped his latest project, which he discussed in his in depth beetbak interview a couple years back. The album, entitled The Diaspora, is available on SK's Bandcamp, and features guest spots from Montage One, Phil da Agony, Gel Roc, Styliztic Jones, Born Allah and Panama Redd of Tabernacle MCz, J-Ro of Tha Alkaholiks, Kits Crackin and Akimbo Slice of Cypha 7; and production from DJ Breeze, Default, Dirty Diggs, DJ Abel, DJ Flip, Pharoe Gamoes and Scientist.

SK's ear for beats results in a solid offering, firmly rooted in the true school and his deliberate, smooth flow compliments the boom bap well. SK specializes in struggle music, and that aspect is fully represented on this project. He pays respect to the Likwit Crew but also expresses his desire to stand out distinctly on his own. This is a very focused offering from an emcee representing the Supreme Era, and feels like a keystone in the man's career.

You can pick up the album on Bandcamp or hit him up on Facebook for physical copies.
