  2. Wow... you're dropping straight HEAT in here!!!

Do you, by chance, have an album by this L.A. crew from around 1998-2000 called Gershwin? Or something like that? I really don't remember anything on it, all I remember is that I bought it at a freestyle battle in San Diego and I really liked it but I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE. Any time I try to look for it I get references to the classical composer... not the underground hip-hop group.

  3. I know there's a Gershwin in the BLX (BassLineXcursionists) from LA. Could it be them? Their "Vegans Want Beef" album is on the blog. Check out a vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfbhCioE1Ec

  5. Hey, BLX might actually be what you're looking for. I did a little more poking around, and back in the day they actually used to be called Gershwin (my bad, I only thought one of the members was called that, but it's the crew name!) And they have their first release for free on bandcamp:

    I'm gonna dl it now.

  6. Bigg up im diggin' that you puttin up more from the CV crew, especially that Tray Loc cassettes. Im trying to find more from that era when that Jean in the front was put out, coz i like that sound alot.

I read somewhere I think it was on Riddlore's myspace that they put out a EP in 1990 called "Gotta Cumm Up EP" on Covert Records, which is not the same as the album Gotta Cumm Up. Do you know anything of this release?

  7. Hey Cheek,
The early to mid 90's is my favorite as well. I've been wanting to get my hands on that CVE ep for a while, and I know it's out there. Hopefully some day it will see the light of day!
